Far from it! A sauna is an insulated room constructed from soft wood with a heater capable of bringing the temperature to approximately 180°F. The heat causes special stones to produce steam when water is drizzled over them. Even though steam is produced, it is not a steam bath. The humidity is relatively dry and comfortable, creating a relaxing atmosphere that promotes many health benefits.

Master bathrooms, retreats, bonus rooms, garages, patios, decks and basements are all ideal places to install a sauna. All you need is a waterproof floor and a 220/240V electrical hookup for the heater. It is also a good idea to have a shower nearby for rinsing off during and after your sauna session.
